Athlete protection standard
Integrity is not a statement. It is a system of decisions.
Laurus places athlete protection, client control and institutional integrity at the centre of every advisory, Academy, partner and private-opportunity relationship.
The standard
Seven controls that make protection operational.
This is the conduct and design standard Laurus intends to evidence. It is not a claim of regulatory certification or a substitute for jurisdiction-specific professional review.
Each control must be visible in scope, permissions, commercial terms or the working record.
Client control
The athlete, family or institution retains its decisions, assets, identity and appointed professional relationships.
Scope before action
The responsible Laurus lead, requested work, exclusions, payer and next decision are recorded before instructions circulate.
Consent and safeguarding
Young people, families and institutions receive role-appropriate information, permissions and escalation routes.
Transparent remuneration
Fees and any licensed-agent remuneration identify the service, payer, basis, conflicts and required disclosure or consent.
Accountable specialists
Legal, tax, finance, property, performance and agency work remains with the appropriately qualified or licensed party.
Controlled information
Confidential records are released only to the appropriate workspace, role and current permission state.
Evidence and review
Material instructions, releases, consent changes and next actions form a reviewable record without logging document contents.
Why use Laurus
Different clients. The same protection discipline.
For athletes & families
Protect the career without taking control away.
One accountable relationship helps the athlete or family see who is responsible, what has been agreed, what it costs and which decisions still require an independent specialist.
- Named relationship lead
- Visible fees and conflicts
- Guardian-aware permissions
- Education alongside advice
For player associations
Extend practical support without creating another recruitment channel.
A player body can add protected education, orientation and escalation while retaining member identity, member relationships and governance oversight.
- Cohort-level Academy access
- Minimal member data
- Institution-approved escalation
- No invented outcome claims
For clubs & federations
Build stronger systems while the institution keeps its players.
Laurus can connect pathway strategy, Academy infrastructure, reporting, safeguarding and reviewed partner support without using programme data to create hidden transfer incentives.
- Institution-owned pathway
- Written operating rhythm
- MADE-supported infrastructure where agreed
- No unapproved transfer mandate
For licensed agencies
Add independent protection around representation.
Roster education and client-support services can sit alongside representation. Any transfer or similar mandate remains separately authorised, regulated and transparently remunerated.
- Separate roster and mandate scopes
- Payer and basis disclosed
- Conflict record
- No duplicated athlete charge
A protected engagement
From first conversation to a reviewable record.
Understand
Start with context, not a sales assumption.
Bound
Name scope, exclusions, payer and responsible parties.
Verify
Confirm identity, authority, licences, conflicts and consent.
Release
Review
Integrity proof
Ask for the record, not the promise.
A Laurus relationship should be able to show the current scope, responsible people, permissions, commercial basis, conflicts, released material and next review. Where a licensed agent is required, the separate mandate and remuneration disclosure should be equally visible.
No testimonial, case study or performance claim is used as a substitute for evidence. Any future client outcome must be genuine, consented, attributable and capable of verification.
The next step
A conversation, not a transaction.
Initial conversations are confidential and without obligation. Begin with your context; Laurus proceeds only where there is a genuine fit
